Campus Facilities

The workshop takes place on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There are plenty of places to visit on campus and within walking distance. More information is on our around campus page.

The UNC campus is one of the most beautiful university campuses in the nation. The Department of Music facilities are located less than one block from historic Franklin Street in Chapel Hill and the many fine places to dine.

Details

The Workshop is hosted by UNC's Department of Music, which includes UNC's Hill and Person Halls. Rehearsals and coaching sessions are also held in the adjacent Hanes Art Center and University United Methodist Church. Workshop performances generally take place in Hill Hall Auditorium, the University United Methodist Church, and at UNC's Graham Memorial Hall.

Participants have access to all music department practice facilities and the Workshop's library facilities. All participants are also assigned instrument or storage lockers in Hill Hall, and pianists are given keys to assigned grand piano practice rooms.

Participants are invited to stay and park at Granville Towers, a private resident hall just a short walk from the rehearsal buildings. Local hotels are also available if participants prefer.
