Fees and Expenses

There are three fees related to the workshop: registration, room and board, and parking.

Registration

The registration fee for the 2009 workshop is $525.

Registration includes music instruction, concerts, practice rooms, music library privileges, and other facilities. Pianists receive a key to one of the locked grand piano practice rooms.

Room and Board

2009 room and board fees will be posted soon.
Room and board fees per person for 2008 were:

single occupancy:	$435
double occupancy:	$300

These fees included lodging for six nights (Sunday night through Friday night), three meals a day for five days (Monday through Friday), linens, and parking.

If you would like to stay additional nights, please contact our program coordinator about availability. Rates per person are $48 per night single occupancy and $25 per night double occupancy.

Room and board fees are for staying, dining, and parking at Granville Towers, a private residence hall close to the workshop locations. Details are on our accommodations page. You may also find more information on Granville Towers' web site (requires Flash plug-in).

If you would like a double room, you can request a specific roommate or ask that we try to match you with an available roommate. If we can't find a roommate for you, you'll be put in a single room.

Some participants in the past have brought family members to stay with them during the workshop. Please indicate on your application if you would like additional room reservations.

Parking

Participants who stay at Granville Towers do not need to purchase a separate parking permit, since a Granville Towers lot permit is included with those room and board fees.

Those who do not stay at Granville Towers may still purchase a Granville parking permit to allow them to park close to the workshop. Parking is very limited on and around the UNC campus, so most participants will want to park in the Granville lot.

The commuter parking fee for 2008 is $25.00 for the week.
